EME's Terms of Service

1. Representations and Warranties

The Site is offered and available to users who are at least 18 years of age and legal age to form a binding contract. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian with their appropriate permission. If you are under 13 you are not permitted to use the Site or EME's services.

By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the foregoing eligibility requirements. If you do not meet all of these requirements, you must not access or use the Site.

2. Overview

Only registered users may receive and provide services on EME. In registering for an account, you agree to provide us with accurate, complete and updated information regarding your business or personal details, and update such details as required, without undue delay. In addition, you must not create an account for fraudulent or misleading purposes. You are solely responsible for any activity on your account and for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your password. We are not liable for any acts or omissions by you in connection with your account.

EME connects individuals or groups seeking services for events ("Service Users") with local businesses and professionals ("Partners"). We are a facilitator platform only. EME does not participate in or guarantee any transaction, agreement, or engagement between Service Users and Partners.

3. Responsibilities of Partners

Partners (businesses and service providers) agree to:

• Maintain accurate service listings
• Deliver services professionally and in accordance with accepted industry standards
• Not engage in any fraudulent or misleading behaviour
• Honour bookings made through the Site

All Partners providing services through the Site must fully comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements governing their profession and operations within their jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, holding valid business registration or incorporation status, maintaining any required industry‐specific permits or certifications (for example, food handlers' hygiene certificates for caterers and bakers, public performance licenses for entertainers, or health and safety accreditations for event coordinators), and adhering to local tax, employment, and consumer‐protection obligations. Failure to maintain such registrations, certifications, or legal compliance may result in removal from the platform and termination of your Partner account.

4. Responsibilities of Service Users

Service Users agree to:

• Use the Site only for lawful purposes
• Settle payment to Partners via the payment method mutually agreed upon by both parties and in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions
• Communicate respectfully and truthfully
• Refrain from discriminatory conduct of any kind

5. Disputes and Liability

EME is not liable for any agreements, services rendered, payments exchanged, or disputes arising between Service Users and Partners. If fraudulent behaviour is suspected, users are encouraged to notify EME via email at info@eventsmadeeasy.co.uk. We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or removal from the Site.

EME provides dispute resolution tools, however, EME is not responsible for enforcing any outcomes.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Service Users and Partners must not:

• Discriminate based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation
• Post or share adult content, pornography, or explicit material
• Engage in bullying, harassment, or hate speech
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Use the Site for illegal activities or spam

Violation may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account disablement.

7. Reviews and Feedback

Service Users may leave reviews based on completed services. Reviews must be genuine and not manipulated or coerced. EME reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

8. Content Moderation and Enforcement

EME reserves the right to review and remove content that violates these Terms. If action is taken against your account, we will notify you via email. Users may appeal decisions within 6 months of notification by contacting our customer support team via email at info@eventsmadeeasy.co.uk.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

Partners should recognise that there might be a need for Service Users to disclose certain confidential information to be used by Partners for the purpose of delivering the Services, and to protect such confidential information from unauthorised use and disclosure. Therefore, Partners agree to treat any information received from Service Users as highly sensitive, top secret and classified material. Without derogating from the generality of the above, Partners specifically agree to (i) maintain all such information in strict confidence; (ii) not disclose the information to any third parties; (iii) not use the information for any purpose except for delivering the Services; and (vi) not to copy or reproduce any of the information without the Service User's permission.

10. Account Deactivation

Users may deactivate their account at any time via their settings. EME reserves the right to disable accounts that breach these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ITS CONTENT, FEATURES, SERVICES AND PROGRAMS, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE SITE, ITS CONTENT, FEATURES, SERVICES AND PROGRAMS, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, PROVIDED THAT WE HAVE ACTED WITH REASONABLE PROFESSIONAL DILIGENCE. NEITHER EME NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH EME MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SITE.

THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

12. Limitation of Liability

PROVIDED THAT WE HAVE ACTED WITH REASONABLE PROFESSIONAL DILIGENCE, IN NO EVENT WILL EME, ITS AFFILIATES OR THEIR LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE, ANY WEBSITES LINKED TO IT, THE CONDUCT OF THIRD PARTIES, ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE OR SUCH OTHER WEBSITES OR ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE SITE OR SUCH OTHER WEBSITES, INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, PAIN AND SUFFERING, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF DATA, AND WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.

THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EME. Any conflicting previous terms are superseded.

14. General Terms

EME may make changes to these Terms from time to time. When these changes are made, EME will make a new copy of the Terms available on the respective page.

You understand and agree that if you use EME after the date on which the Terms have changed, EME will treat your use as acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes of the Terms, you will have to deactivate your account.

EME may change these Terms due to changes in the Site, the Site's policies, the services and in the usual course of developing our product, changes in any relevant feature or functionality of the Site, changes in circumstances beyond our reasonable control, to adapt to new technologies, and to address changes in law and regulatory requirements as well as security and fraud issues.

Any heading, caption or section title contained herein, and/or any explanation or summary columns, is provided only for convenience, and in no way alters and/or amend the provisions within the Terms nor shall it legally bind us in any way.

The original language of the Terms is English. EME makes this translation available for convenience only. In case of conflicts between the original English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail. For consumers only, if you are residing in the EEA, the interpretation more favourable with the consumer shall prevail.
